Hi Michelle
Just thought I would let you know that we've posted a short video clop of Reminic In Spots on the bottom of his page at http://www.quarterhorsespot.com/ReminicInSpots.html
Its just some early training video - but at least shows how he moves.
It is definitely winter here now ... so no more video until spring.
Season's Greetings,
Vicki

Hi Michelle
Reminic In Spots was terribly behind in his training when we got him earlier this year.... His AQHA papers took a while to process and his future seemed uncertain, so the breeder just never did any training with him, really. So, he is a 4 year old (5 in 2010) with now a level of training like a started 3 year old. However, yes, we will be showing him in 2010. Definitely in all breed Working Cowhorse competition - and possibly in AQHA events if he is ready.
We realize that he needs to be very ready before we take him to a breed show, because he will be so "noticeable"....
He cannot be shown in AQHA Halter classes but is eligible for anything else. (Part of the new excess white rule)
He is showing a great deal of promise, so we are excited.

Thanks,
Vicki

Thanks for visiting, Vicki! Your stallion is gorgeous. Are you planning on showing him, or have you already? I'd be intersested in hearing how the judges respond to his color. Thanks for the info about the ApHC. I was pretty shocked when I saw that registration was limited for these crosses. I love this story - it's kind of a metaphor for life....underneath it all, we're really all the same!

Hi !
Just noticed your post about our AQHA stallion Reminic In Spots. He is a great athlete and a handsome fellow, too - coming along well in his training.
We are just launching a new website to collect more stories of other "crop out" appaloosa colored AQHA horses, and to showcase Reminic In Spots, if course. Its at www.QuarterHorseSpot.com

I just wanted to mention that the ApHC has changed their rule (204.B.2a.1.) and these appaloosa colored AQHA horses WILL be allowed as acceptable outcrosses for ApHC horses.

Thanks,
Vicki

Thanks Jenn! I'm not usually a big fan of genetics, but I found it to be fascinating in the context of something I love so much.
