I’m glad that it’s being used more frequently too, FlyingHorse! It is a great facility. And you’re right about the layout – barns, warm up arenas, restrooms, it’s all right there. It’s a fun place to show, for sure. Are you located in the area?

You are right! I love Ocala Eq. Complex. It has been so under utilized in the past years but they changed marketing strategies and 2010 looks to have a lot more variety of horse events there.
I like that it’s fairly all clost together once you get passed unloading in the barn area. Great post!

I was impressed with this place and enjoyed my visit there when I was there to watch a show a few months back. This is a real accurate accounting of the place.

Juliette, we should definitely get together when you come down this way! We won’t be far at all. And as far as Florida in July goes, ha! Try Florida in October this year! It’s just now finally bearable.

Thanks for the review! We will be heading down I-75 in December. We go by all the gorgeous horse farms in Ocala and I drool. Usually by December we are freezing up here and Ocala is where we start to thaw. I look out the car window at all these farms and imagine riding there and Brian kindly reminds me to think about July at those farms! Oh, that’s right! No one gets EVERYTHING!

You should definitely think abut it, GHM! It’s a nice facility and if you go on a weekend, chances are good you’ll see some action. In addition, it’s right next door to the Ocala Breeders Sales, where they exercise and have thoroughbred racehorse sales. Not really my thing, but interesting to see nonetheless.
