Hi Pam, thanks for visiting! I am partial to Apps - I've never had another breed of horse and probably never will. But you're right, the bond you develop with a horse is amazing and so different from the bond with a dog or cat.

Juliette, it's true isn't it? Horses are so amazingly powerful and yet so delicate at the same time. Maybe that's why I identify so strongly with them - I think there is a large part of me that way too. As far as favorite animals go, forr me it depends on what I'm looking for. Dogs win for companionship, hands down. To me, partnership is all about the horse. Thanks for the kind words! Hope your vacation is going well.

Michelle,

That was a very insightful and well-written post! It is scary to admit you are like a horse, I think, because they are so vulnerable. Very delicate (ironically powerful too) animals. I am not like a horse at all yet they are certainly my favorite animal. (How could anyone have a favorite animal? - horse, dog, cat, - all are it for me). I think my personality is most like a Labrador retriever, but Brian says I am exactly like Schpanken Danken, our brown tiger cat that passed away a few years ago.
Very honest post! Courageous!

Thanks Megan. I guess a lot of us horsey people have some similar qualities. =)

Glad you like the new look, Paint Girl! I'm really excited about it. Thanks for the insight.

Thanks Hazem! So what animal would you describe yourself most like?

You summed it up very well! I would like to think I have a lot of the same qualities, but I have never really thought of it that way. I do believe all us horsey people must have a lot of the same qualities of a horse, that is why we are so drawn to them, among many other things!!
I love your new look!! Very nice!

Thanks Jenn! I can't believe I have never made that connection in all these years. Very strange, and how it just hit me as I was driving along last night. Hmm.

Glad you got some insight, Dad! And I'm glad that you like my writing - thanks for the confidence booster! =)
