Sunday Stills – Textures

This week’s Sunday Stills challenge is called “Textures.” Hope you enjoy my selections!
One of the most familiar and comforting textures of the horse world: a bale of hay.
Intricate knots in a rope cross tie.
The well-worn leather of a favorite headstall
Woven western saddlepads come in a variety of colors and patterns.
The leather of a broken-in saddle molds to the rider perfectly.

welcome back, I love all of them, great angles, but my favorite is have to be headstall. it got so much detail. very pretty. great choices too

Oh darn! The one week that I didn’t participate in Sunday Stills in a year, and you mention my name to go check mine out. I was just too busy and focused on the Trail Clinic all weekend and then was too tired at night to do much else besides post the photos I took during the trail rides.
I couldn’t have even come close to the amazing quality and great selection of texture photos that you did, though. WOW!
I love them all. But the rope and rusty ring may be my favorite. Lots of great texture with that one!

Billie, I’m glad you enjoyed the shots I selected. Sometimes I think the beauty of the horse world is so understated and we get so caught up in the majesty of the beast that we forget to see all the little things that make that world so amazing. I’m glad you picked up on that too!
