Thankful Thursday – The Fun Doesn’t Stop
Once again, it’s time for Thankful Thursday! I hope this post inspires you to consider the things in your life that you are grateful for. If you have a blog, consider posting about it there and link back here. If you don’t have a blog, please feel welcome to comment here on what you are grateful for in your own life. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing, then just take a few moments to reflect on all that you have. If you’d like to tag other bloggers that participate, feel free to do that.
On Monday, I talked about my fun trip to the Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse show. What I didn’t mention is that the fun continued on long after I left the Florida State Fairgrounds. One of my very first blogger friends, Juliette from Honeysuckle Faire, often spends her winter break in central Florida and we decided to meet up this year. After I left the show, I drove down to St. Petersburg to meet Juliette and her family. Now, those of you that know me on a personal level know that I’m fairly reserved and often quiet. However, any nervousness I may have had about meeting Juliette was quickly relieved. We had a great time chatting about horses and blogs, among other things. Julie is a genuine and charming person and her family is great too! I even got to meet her adorable cat Noodlebug, who won me over with the most precious face ever. If you haven’t checked out Honeysuckle Faire yet, you should go over and take a look around. Juliette is an incredible artist and her site features some of her work, as well as the story of her two boys Pie and Sovey.

I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to meet Juliette, Brian, Maizie, Lake, and Noodlebug. I had a great time and hope that we can get together next time in PA for Juliette’s dream of a blogger buddies riding weekend. Ok, now who’s coming to Florida next?

Thank YOU for such a kind post! You are the sweetest! Maizie, Brian and I are just glowing now reading your lovely words about Noodlebug’s face. She is adorable and we love that you totally understood her squinty winks and smiles!
I will treasure the opportunity of meeting you and look forward to riding together sometime!

Wonderful you got to meet a blogger friend. I missed a chance in Nov to meet Jane of the Literary Horse, so I’m putting it on the “must do” list for next year’s trip. I hope we have half the fun you had with Juliette.
PS I love the custom field (or whatever you call it) you have under your comment box. How’d you do it?

Jenn and Kristen – it was very exciting to be able to meet someone in person that I’ve been learning about through this world for the past 7 months! I think you’re both right – bloggers AND horse people (especially in combination) are the best!

Kim, it’s too bad that you didn’t get to meet up with Jane. I bet she’s a hoot, if her site is any indication! If I ever make my way out to California, I will definitely be looking her up. It’s great that you’ve had the opportunity to meet up with fellow bloggers too! I would love to just tour around and meet everyone and their horses, I feel like I know them already! Noodlebug is definitely a doll, her photo does not do her justice! And I should really be thanking you, Lisa! Your site has offered me much inspiration and pleasure and I have really enjoyed getting to know you through it! Who knows, maybe we can meet one day too!

When is Juliette having that get together with bloggers and horses? Count me in! Maybe when we get there, Noodlebug would be willing to ride in my backpack while on the trail!

Hi Colleen! I bet once you saw Noodle, there would be no way you could put her in your backpack. You’d just want to hold her the whole time – she’s THAT cute! I think we should take Julie up on her offer to organize, it would be a lot of fun.

I sure hope there’s more to come, KK! My cousin Jenn has a very successful food blog and has organized/participated in numerous visits with her readers and fellow bloggers. I can only hope that one day I have the opportunity to meet some more of the people I’ve met through this site. It would be so much fun to meet regularly in different parts of the country to spend time together and maybe even enjoy each other’s animals!
